O XPA é um sistema em que os detetores individuais e outros dispositivos sem fios comunicam com o circuito FX ALC através de sinais de rádio. Uma interface é ligada ao circuito ALC da mesma forma que qualquer interface endereçável. A cada dispositivo XPA sem fios é atribuído um endereço e este endereço é reconhecido pela central Esmi Sense FDP.
