LOGO! CIM Communication Interface Module for LOGO! 8 Modbus RTU interface (RS232/485) 4-port switch; without 4G/LTE/GPS engine; without antennas; web configurator The LOGO! CIM communications module is an expansion module to the LOGO! 8 logic module and unifies numerous communication protocols in one device in a space-saving manner. A 4-port switch for connecting other devices via Ethernet is integrated into the enclosure, a Modbus RTU and TCP interface enables the connection of corresponding sensors. Also integrated are a SIM card slot (4G/LTE) and an mPCIe slot for 4G/LTE module engines. This makes it possible to communicate e.g. to the AWS cloud, even if there isno LAN infrastructure. The NTP function and the GPS receiver, which can be extended via mPCIe, are the prerequisites for time synchronization and the acquisition of position data. In order to achieve full functionality, especially in the mobile communications sector, the CIM module can be extended by antennas and a 4G/LTE engine. Tested engines are available for the frequency ranges of different regions, so that the module can be used almost globally.
